Front page story is of crackdown on troublemakers by the exec. Inside there is a two page article on the NUS conference and a great deal of concern for student funding and the miners. Looking back on it today these lost causes seem a futile waste of time, but then - when most students still cared about political issues with a passion it must have been quite a debate.
