The winter 94 edition covers a story on Carbon Monoxide - The Silent Killer at a time when the national press were hot on the rising number of fatalities from old gas fires. The law also changed about this time so that 'Sherriff Fatman' type landlords had to have such fires regularly serviced. Ever health concious the Scene also ran a full pager on Toxic Shock Syndrome. The NUS were campaigning to stop grant cuts and World Aids Day 94 was promoted heavily, while at Nene Scene things were going techicoloured with the first full colour cover (the previous one!), funded in part by sponsorship from employment agency Manpower.
