Nene Scene Vol 12 Issue 3 - December 1991
Editor: Karen Howell
The Oceanic debacle unravelled, Lisel Sever's article about that night is fair if a little tame, I remember that night as if it were last week. The evening dragged on and on with Wayne pacing frantically about and rumour and counter rumour of 'they are', 'they aren't' going to play circling the JCR and bar. When, after a particularly bad support band, they did take to the stage they were clearly very nervous and it looked as if the evening was about to fall flat on its face. They stumbled their way through a follow up single that never became much of a hit before finding the most tremendous form when Insanity began and the crowd went wild. Oceanic were on stage for 35 minutes in total and they played 2 songs. Insanity lasted for over 25 of those minutes and almost everyone went away happy. Especially a house mate of mine at the time who took home and subsequently shagged their main dancer.
