Everything has come to a grinding halt. Due to pressure of real life (tm) I have had to suspend work on been2nene. That means no new galleries and no new submissions of pics for the time being. Also the list of subscribers has been suspended and removed from the site. Please feel free to email me if there is anything you require or you are looking for someone from Nene to get in touch with.
Grand Reunions 2002 and 2003 - The Second and third annual Grand Reunions were not a great success - very low turnouts both years and so there are no plans to have one this year. If you want to hold a reunion please let me know and I'll do what I can to find anyone you might be looking for and sort a venue etc.

Dominic McElroy, 26th August 1974 to 12th August 2001
For those of you that knew Dom, it is with great sadness that I have to inform you that he passed away whilst on holiday in Rhodes. Dom began college life in September 1993 and was an active member of the Student Union from the outset. Dom was a key player in the success of the Exiles and enjoyed his times on the famous Exiles rugby tours. He had friends in all areas of Nene, from Students and staff alike. Dominic was a true friend of many and will be sorely missed. If anybody has any memories of Dominic, I would be happy to pass them on to his family.
15/08/2001 More Nene Scenes, this time from Steve Waring and a few other bits which I have decorated a few pages with, there are also a few new pics in the galleries. Did anyone attending the reunion find a camera? 'Cos I lost one. I have pics from two others of my own and those taken by George Haigh and Colette Tobin. However there are lots of people who attended the reunion who are not in the pics. If anyone has any to submit of that or anything else then please let me have them! Oh, there are thirty-odd new contacts in the list too.

22/07/2001 Thanks to everyone who attended the Reunion at Park, I wasn't entirely sure how it was going to go, but as it turned out I think the vast majorty had a bloody good time. Well done to Gerald Bowers and his team for producing an event that worked for everyone from 1970's to end of the century graduates.
30/06/2001 Congratulations to Nene graduates Karen Suckling (90-94) and Paul Malpas (89-92) who were married in Luxembourg on Saturday 23rd July. In the mean time I am experiencing an ever increasing response to the contact pages and have added 50 new people to the list in the last fortnight.
14/06/2001 Official Alumni Site is now up and running - there isn't much there yet, but I've been told on good authority by the web designer (me) that it will be expanded in the near future - if you want to get involved with the alumni association then please get in touch.
04/06/2001 Been2nene has been up just over a year with over 200 contacts now on the list and over 2000 visitors a month.
01/04/2001 Thanks to a weekend social I can now bring you highlights from the photo's of Mr George 'David Bailey' Haigh (90-94). He has also proved useful by hanging on to his Freshers edition of Nene Scene.
March 2001 Over 150 contacts now in place, Plus new pics gratefully received from Steve Pyer (93-96). Follwing contact from UCN the been2nene reunion is scrapped so we can join forces with the Alumni Association grand reunion.
February 2001 A reunion is planned and due to publicity organised by Dave Coxon on Northamts Radio and in The Chronicle and Echo many more people arrive at the site and sign up. More pictures arrive from Sian John, Jacqui Hawkes, Holly Gibbs and Helen MacRae
Jan 2001 New pics and imput from David Coxon doubles the site immediately, images from Erik Bean and Paul Malpas also boost the web site
November 2000 Having more than doubled in size the site is redesigned to accomodate five galleries and over twenty email contacts. Over 200 people per month are visiting the site.
May 2000 been2nene launched with a handful of pics and a dozen email addresses.
