1976

Before DTP, before Nene Scene, before Link (and perhaps only just after William Caxton) there was the NCSU 'NEWSHEET' and it was basic. The cover features a Venn Diagram of who is who at the SU. This was issue 2.

1976

Tea Magazine appeared before Link this issue is belived to be from March 1976.

1976-78 Link

The final edition of Link was produced in late 1978. Perhaps extinct due to the 5p charge per copy?

1982-95 Nene Scene

I don't have a copy of the first issue (or indeed issues 2 or 3). The name is attributed to Mark Lawford, although he isn't certain that he thought of it! Mark says "I was made editor of the Nene College newspaper back in 1982 it did not have a name so I decided to call it Nenescene even though I knew it was not an aural rhyme, just a visual one".

Nene Scene Vol 11 Issue 1 - Freshers Edition '90
Nene Scene Vol 11 Issue 5 - Election Results 91
Nene Scene Vol 12 Issue 2 - Nov 92

The Lost Volume. In 1992 no one told the editors that you had to add a one to the volume number when you started a new year. Thus Volume 12 was repeated and all subsequent years are Volumed incorrectly, being one less than they should have been. This is by no means the only example I have found of mis-numbering but then perhaps a paragraph on the subject is already a little too boring.
